The Deep Sea Star Chronicle

Some journeys do not stop when they reach their end. Long after the stars have risen, people will see the bright names, the complete systems, the programs running on their own — but few will know how long the night was before the first light.

The Morning Star became precious not because the night was over, but because it was not. Yaozhao left its romance on the far horizon, Yuheng kept the first measure, Gouchen turned promise into vigil, Zhongshu put order where no one watched, Dongbi kept what must not be forgotten, and Changgeng stood at the end of the expedition.

Systems can be rebuilt, data reorganized, products evolved. But some things should not be overwritten by time — the first courage, the thanks never spoken, the light kept for one another. If one day everyone greets the dawn, who will remember the long night? As long as one star remembers why it set out, that night was not meaningless.
